In 2012, after 5 years, I left my rental house in Los Angeles and bought and moved into a 14′ travel trailer. I lived in that full-time until a sweet deal on an older Winnebago Class A came along, and I traded up. After 4 years living in the Winnebago full-time, I decided I really wanted something SAFER (more on that later), that was easy to drive and didn’t get 6 MPG. I spent a few months researching the options and ultimately decided to build a custom camper van.
You can follow the build-out and its progress, from start to finish on this page, and read about why I decided to downsize dramatically.
I’m happy to be living the #VanLife!
